Durham Central Park Cohousing

We are individuals and families living in an urban, intentional community in downtown Durham, North Carolina. Known as Durham Coho, we opened late summer 2014, and currently enjoy 37 adults and 3 children. We are located within easy walking distance of the Farmers' Market, Carolina Theater, the library, the YMCA, restaurants, shops, parks, and we’re only a couple of miles from Duke University and its famous Medical Center.

Nearly half of Durham Coho's building is shared community spaces for small and large group gatherings, weekly shared meals, art, media, libraries and more. We enjoy delightful gardens and outdoor terraces. Twenty four private condominiums ranging in size from 850 square feet to 1,700 square feet provide beautiful indoor living space and balconies.

As cool as our building is, our community of members is what makes Durham Coho truly special. Our lively and creative group includes medical, legal and financial professionals, scientists, teachers, academics, social workers, musicians, published authors, craftsmen and artists.
